Add a Little Rioja to Your Spain Trip
Rioja is the kind of place that feels worlds away from the rest of your trip but is surprisingly easy to add.

Are you coming for the City Vibes of MADRID?
The Stunning Architecture of BARCELONA?
The Spirit of ANDALUCÍA?
Or the Food in SAN SEBASTIÁN?
These are on everyone's Must Do lists for a reason. They do not disappoint. But nothing pairs better with any of them than Rioja. And the journey will only take an hour or two.
Whatever your itinerary give yourself 2½ days for Rioja. You can thank me later 😎.

Why 2½ days?
You can taste Rioja in a day.
But you can't really experience it that way.
“Rioja isn't somewhere I want to rush you through.
I want time for the winery conversation that runs long. The lunch nobody wants to leave. Another glass on the terrace. The village we decide is worth stopping in. And the things we couldn't have planned before you arrived.
We build time into the experience so you can actually enjoy Rioja—not race through it.”

RIOJA TAKES TIME.
That's why my signature Rioja experience takes 2½ days.
What's with the ½ day?
The worst thing about group tours is the anxiety beforehand and the awkward first hour on that tour van together.
-
Are they cool?
-
Is anyone going to talk?
-
Should we introduce ourselves?
-
Does everyone else know each other?
The 1/2 day eliminates all that! We get together the night before. Have some food and wine, get to know each other, begin experiencing the Rioja pace and vibes so when we get on the vans as old friends excited to spend the next 2 days together.
Plus we hit the ground running on our first full day, everyone needs to be in Rioja ready for an early morning pickup so the fun can really begin!

No two tours ever look exactly the same.
Rioja changes with the season, we think about what's happening when you arrive and we'll build your experience around the best of what's available—and, whenever we can, around what you're most excited about seeing and doing.
BUT THEY ALL HAVE A FEW THINGS IN COMMON

GREAT WINE
Family wineries, historic cellars and new-generation winemakers.

PEOPLE WORTH MEETING
The people behind the bottles—and the stories that made them.

VERY LONG LUNCHES
Because lunch should never feel like an intermission.

VILLAGES & VINEYARDS
Get out into the Rioja you wouldn't find from one tasting room.

Depending on the season, the group and what's happening while you're here, I may have something else up my sleeve.
Because we're here to enjoy Rioja, not race through it.
